DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER IF YOU HAVE AN SFF OR SMALL FORM FACTOR BOARD – IT WILL NOT WORK

This adapter is designed for the DT and MT mid tower (not SFF or small form factor) desktops. It allows you to connect standard PC case USB and HD audio connectors to the Dell Optiplex 7010, 9010, 7020, 9020 and Precision T1650, T1700, & 3620 motherboards. These are often used to build budget and mid range gaming PC’s using decommissioned office desktops and convert them to work with modern PC cases. This adapter alone WILL NOT get rid of that annoying front panel error on startup unless you also use the DFP05-T adapter for the front panel power button with this adapter. Warning, connecting these adapters in the wrong orientation or with the wrong models could result in damage to your motherboard. Do not use these adapters with models other than the ones mentioned above.
